2B

One of my goals before school started was to meet many new friends at Southern Connecticut State University.  Before school started, I was excited but also nervous because the college experience is so new to me, but I think that I have adjusted very well already.  I have met many new friends in my dorm, Neff Hall, and I enjoy spending time eating breakfast, lunch, or dinner with them.  Meeting new people at school has been great because everyone has a unique background, play various sports, and have different hobbies.  I am lucky to be in such a great dorm and have met so many nice new friends here at Southern Connecticut State University.

I am out of class everyday by noon, and I have enough time to join a club or sorority on campus.  I attended the Greek Showcase on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 which included all of the sororities and fraternities on campus.  At this event, I met many new girls that I did not know who were interested in joining a sorority or were already involved in Greek Life.  Alpha Sigma Alpha discussed all of the information regarding their sorority and also held a Bingo Game to help introduce everyone to each other.  It was really a lot of fun and a great experience.  Overall, I want to join because I felt very welcomed by everyone there and I am excited to belong to a group here at SCSU.

In high school, I was always a hard working student and received good grades.  I was unsure how the coursework would be in college and I know that I need to balance my school work with social time.  I set a goal to stay organized and on top of my homework and this first week has been very successful.  I worked very hard all week on all of my assignments and stayed aware of due dates on the syllabus.
