Delayed Gratification;

Using Google, I searched the word “delayed gratification” and the definition was, “Deferred gratification or delayed gratification is the ability to wait in order to obtain something that one wants. This attribute is known by many names, including impulse control, will power, self control and, in economics, "low" time preference.”

The Merriam-Webster source said it is a reward.  This vocabulary word relates to what we talked about in class last week.  The “marshmallow test” was an experiment to see if children could sit in a room and wait fifteen minutes to eat the marshmallow.  If they waited, then they got a reward, just how delayed gratification works.  Using this vocabulary word in class lectures helped me understand it better.  Delayed gratification, in my opinion, is worth the wait because there will be an award after.
