I Work Out!
#7. Go to the fitness center. Find out their hours
of operation, the cost for students to join, one class you might be interested
in taking and the day/time, and how many exercise machines they have. Have
someone take a photo of you exercising to post on your blog.
On
Monday, September 30, 2013, my friends and I went to Southern Connecticut State
University’s fitness center on campus.
We attended a Zumba class from 7:15 until 8:15 at night. Zumba is an exercise class held in the
Student Center which has loud and energetic music to dance for exercise for an
hour. Southern holds Zumba classes on Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday nights on campus for students with a gym membership. When rushing Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, one
of the rush events was to attend a Zumba class and all the girls worked out
together as a bonding experience. It was
a fun time and I really enjoyed it very much, so I joined the gym. It is sixty dollars for one semester or one hundred twenty dollars for the year.
The Southern Connecticut State University gym
membership includes free Zumba, yoga, and cycling classes provided for the
students anytime by various instructors.
They have many exercise machines including weight lifting and elliptical machines. The hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m., Friday
7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Sunday 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Going to the gym has become a routine for me
and I like going with friends as well.
