Career Services
This past
Monday, September 23, 2013, I stopped by the Career Services desk in the
Wintergreen building. The Wintergreen
building is where you get HootLoot and UPass, which are the two necessary
cards on campus. HootLoot is the student ID for Southern students and the UPass is a card for the bus pass for free, that brings you downtown or the
mall. Career Services helps students decide
their major and help them write their resumes. The staff is very friendly and
want freshman and new students to meet with them to discuss majors and
individual needs. It was a helpful
one-on-one meeting with a career counselor about my Communication Major. I walked out with a Career Services Handbook,
which will help me stay on track with career planning activicites such as
choosing a major, internships for my major and job research in the future. Meeting with people to talk about my major
and what the Communication department requirements are to graduate was very
helpful to me.
How would I get a job at the Career Services Department at
Southern?
How many students visit this department every week?
